Trader Joe's Is Offering a Free Printable Coloring Book Because It Knows Your Kids are Bored

Trader Joe’s is one of the many things that’s kept us going in recent weeks. Our supply of Mandarin Orange Chicken and other frozen fare keeps our take-out cravings satisfied, pretty much every pantry recipe we can think of is improved with some Everything but the Bagel seasoning, and our occasional grocery shopping trips to TJ’s are pretty much the only time we’ve left our houses while sheltering in place. But TJ’s is now helping their customers beyond just supplying tasty groceries. They’re sharing a fun activity for adults and kids to help stave off the boredom of quarantine.

They’ve released a printable coloring book that everyone in the family can use to zone out and relax with.

There are six pages total that can be colored, many featuring the character of Trader Joe himself. In one picture, he’s flying an airplane stocked with groceries (is that a baguette we spy? Drool!), while in another, he’s relaxing in an easy chair and reading a book.

The pictures are both elaborate enough to make coloring inside the lines rewarding for adult colorists, but also easy and fun for younger artists to color, too. The last page features TJ’s-themed doodle-style drawings, and who knows – maybe they’ll inspire you to create some original art of your own!

You can print out the coloring book pages and fill them in IRL, or screenshow the pages and use them in your favorite digital coloring app. Either way, we’re just excited to have a new fun, free activity for kids who might be getting a little restless from spending so much time inside (okay, and for ourselves, too!).
