This California Winery Will Pay You $100,000 to Live There Rent Free and Learn About Wine

If you have a strong passion for wine and wouldn’t mind living on a gorgeous vineyard for a year rent-free, then listen up. A winery in California is currently hiring for a paid live-in role that will immerse one lucky vino lover into all aspects of the industry.

Murphy-Goode Winery, located in Sonoma Wine Country, recently announced this new one-year position, dubbed A Really Goode Job, with its team. While the gig does require the selected applicant to live on-site at the Murphy-Goode Winery vineyard grounds located in Healdsburg, rent is free of charge. There is also a $10,000 monthly salary, as well as lots and lots of wine. Sounds like a dream…right?

The exact job duties will be molded somewhat to fit the person’s interests. However, as Murphy-Goode Winery writes, the first 90 days will involve shadowing the winery’s winemaker David Ready Jr. and learning about the harvest process. “From there, we will work with you and your passions to help you choose your path in the wine business. The sky is your limit!” Full details of the role can be viewed here.

To apply, Murphy-Goode Winery is asking interested candidates to submit a video in which they explain why they think this is their dream job. Particularly, the winery is seeking a candidate over 21 years old who “takes life one sip at a time.” Each applicant will be evaluated on “role value, creativity and design, applicable experience, and skill set.” You can submit your application here from now until June 30, 2021. Good luck (mostly to me but to you too)!!
