This Is Pia Miller’s Go-To Workout When She’s Travelling

While we can’t replicate Pia Miller’s A-grade genetics, we can draw inspiration (*cough* copy) the habits that has her looking and feeling so dang good.

We chatted to the Aussie actor and got the low down on everything from her go-to beauty routine to the on-the-go workout tips she swears by.

You’ve recently been on the road, what’s your attitude towards health and fitness while travelling – do you like to chill out or keep up your routine?

I have been in and out of the canadianpharmtabs.com country the last few months, as well as in and out of Sydney filming. My fitness regime is relatively light based on the fact that between work and the kids, I don’t have a lot of extra time – I try and make a yoga class once a week and the rest I’ll do on my mat at home. I take my practice with me wherever I go travelling but I’m not too strict on myself, if it’s a holiday I definitely try and chill but if it’s a work trip, I’ll do a little yoga routine in my dressing room or hotel if I have the time. I like little rituals whilst I’m travelling too – like my candles, some incense and a book.

What are your tips for keeping active while away?

If not a relaxing holiday where I’m in total chill mode and not focusing on my fitness regime, I’ll take my yoga practice with me. I also find walking the streets and exploring the town or suburb I’m in is also a nice way to stay active. Usually on holidays I’m travelling with my boys so surfing, swimming and running around after them is exercise in itself!

What does your daily beauty routine look like, what products can’t you live without?

For me, my beauty routine starts in the shower. When it comes to beauty I like to keep things pretty simple, it’s really all about smooth, glowing skin! Venus Platinum Extra Smooth is an essential part of my beauty routine. It’s sleek metal handle and ergonomic design gives me ultimate control and precision when shaving. Then I cleanse my face, jump out of the shower and do an all over body moisturise. I put on an SPF base like Invisible Zinc and a little bit of RMS concealer, curl my eyelashes and dust a bit of bronzer over my cheeks and eyelids. I tend not to wear a lot of makeup on my days off but when I am heading out of an evening I love to pop on MAC eyeliner in Coffee, an RMS lip to cheek tint & some mascara.

You’ve recently called out some crappy, body-shaming comments you received online. Why did you feel it was important to clap back at those critics?

I recognise I have a lot of female followers – both mothers who have had children and may have some stretch marks like myself as well as young girls who are growing up in a world of social media. I think it’s helpful for them to see that I, like everyone else has a story some include “flaws” and scars, it’s important to embrace it all.

Do you think your attitude towards your body has changed as you’ve gotten older, and how?

Definitely. I think as you get older you start to become a little more confident with who you are as a person. You don’t fret as much about the smaller things because you start to realise what matters most – your health, your family/children’s health & of course your happiness. I feel like my body is in a better place too – I put importance on health and wellbeing and live a
generally healthy lifestyle but I’m not super strict and I feel that helps a lot – being obsessive can often be counter-productive.
