Women's Health Editor-In-Chief Is Obsessed With Ketchup And Pickled Blueberries

If you’ve ever wondered what fuels an editor-in-chief of a health magazine through her morning workouts, afternoon meeting marathons, and nights with her hubby and kiddos, you’re in luck!

Liz Plosser, the fearless leader of Women’s Health, recently opened up her fridge to show what keeps her and her family energized day after day. (Spoiler: It’s not all kale and Brussels sprouts—though she does really love veggies!) Read on for some of the most surprising things in her fridge. Then, peep the video above to see what else she always keeps on hand.

1. A big bottle of ketchup

“We are a huge ketchup family. We literally put it on everything, from scrambled eggs to French fries to burgers,” Liz says. She buys Heinz Simply Ketchup because it’s free of artificial sweeteners and is made with simple ingredients. “We feel good about putting it on everything.”

2. Pickled blueberries

The self-proclaimed “pickled fiend”has an entire shelf in her fridge devoted to “pickled yummy things.” One funky thing that caught our eye: pickled blueberries. Liz says her family loves them served over ice cream, yogurt, and even granola. Never tried them? Me either, but I’m def intrigued.

3. Homemade pizza dough

Whoever said it wasn’t possible to eat pizza and stay fit has never met Liz. She and her fam meal prep on Sundays and love to make homemade whole-wheat dough to use throughout the week. “We’re a big pizza family. We like to make our own. It’s much easier than you might think,” she says of her go-to recipe, which she reveals in the video.

4.Whole milk

No almond, oat, or macadamia nut milk here. Liz and her family are all about whole milk. “We go through so much of this in my house. Like, a half-gallon every single day. We use it in the kid’s smoothies, in their breakfast cereal—they’ll even drink it by the glass before bed,” Liz says.
