Because some people can’t leave well enough alone, mayonnaise ice cream exists now. Yes. Apparently Kyle Gentleman, the owner of the Ice Artisan Ice Cream shop in Scotland, thought the only thing missing from ice cream was the incredibly divisive condiment.
Gentleman’s shop is known for its strange ice cream flavors like Strongbow Dark Fruit Cider and Monster Energy, and this new flavor is a way to honor is “love of mayo.”

There’s really nothing to this ice cream but some plain homemade dairy ice cream mix and Hellman’s mayonnaise.
Gentleman told The Independent, “I tried to think of another idea but one that is polar opposite from cider – mayo does just that!” He also said people actually enjoy it because it’s “creamy and smooth.”
Of course, people are divided and some think it’s a great idea because mayo makes chocolate cake taste good, but others, who are correct, think it’s gross.
It probably won’t taste that bad? It probably makes the ice cream super creamy and light instead of tasting like mayonnaise? I have a chocolate cake recipe with mayo in and it makes the cake super moist and brings out the chocolate flavour! @simonrim Whats your chef opinion??
I found out someone made mayonnaise ice cream. All I got to say is just because we can doesn’t mean we should.
