This is Ina Garten’s life, and she sure as hell is living it up.

Garten was in Costa Mesa on Wednesday for the last stop on her book tour for her recently released cookbook, Cook Like a Pro. The lecture, which was held at Segerstrom Hall, was one hour and 30 minutes of straight culinary wisdom pouring out of Garten’s mouth like molasses.
At the lecture, moderated by cookbook author, food writer and TV host, Tori Ritchie, Garten shared behind-the-scenes stories of her life in the Hamptons, filming Barefoot Contessa and writing her cookbook. Audience members even engaged in a Q&A session immediately following the interview.
One such audience member was Garner, who called the lecture “amazing” in an Instagram caption paired with a photo of herself and Garten chowing down on some burgs.
“@inagarten and @tuesdayrecipe — you were amazing in your beyond sold out show in Costa Mesa,” Garner wrote. “We hung on every word! But — celebrating the end of your #CookLikeAPro book tour with @innout=???”
Garner beat her to the post, though, hitting Instagram two hours prior with an adorable photo of the duo, burgers in hand.
“Only the best for my friend @jennifer.garner — dinner at @innout after my show in Costa Mesa, CA!! What a fun way to wrap up my fall book tour! #CookLikeaPro,” Garten wrote.
Garten even revealed in the comments that the duo ordered their burgers animal-style.

According to People, Garten and Garner have been friends for three years. Garten invited Garner over to cook together after she found out Garner liked her cookbooks and her TV show, Barefoot Contessa.
“She was very sweet she invited me to her birthday party,” Garten told People. “It was all girls in swimsuits—it was so Jennifer! It was so fun and not fancy, which is what she’s like.”
Since then, the two have never held back from gushing about each other.
“Isn’t she lovely?! I just think she’s so wonderful,” Garner told People in March.
And Garten is even a fan of Garner’s Pretend Cooking Show series on Facebook, saying, “I love her videos so much. She is adorable and smart and not at all performing — that’s just who she is. I just think she’s really special.”
So do we, Ina. So do we.
