Jenny Mollen shared the first close-up look of her son Sid’s lunchbox way back in October of 2018 and with that one Instagram post, Dictator Lunches was born. Mollen’s now enormously famous Instagram account has been inspiring parents with intricate and beautifully curated lunches for little “dictators” for years, but with back-to-school season in full swing, we wondered what kind of goodies one of the most well-known school lunch creators keeps stocked in her fridge. So, we asked to take a look.

The actress, comedian, cookbook author and lunch-making guru graciously agreed and gave us a tour of the fridge that houses the ingredients for her famous lunches and so much more. So, what did we find inside? Mollen walked us through her must-haves which include some fun items she discovered on her recent family trip to Thailand. Mollen’s must-haves include coconut milk from Grass Roots, Thai iced tea, longan fruit, and Medjool dates. She also showed us some tasty looking treats called coconut jellies that are made with agar-agar instead of gelatin. But one of the best parts is when we caught a sneak peek of a tiny homemade Halloween creature that Mollen is making for a future Dictator lunch.

Another highlight? Mollen’s condiment shelf. It features your standard items like ketchup and mustard but also has a nice mix of unique items like fermented hot sauce.

Enjoy the tour of Mollen’s fridge in the video above, give her Dictator Lunches Instagram account a follow, check out her new cookbook (for sale here
