Even though there isn’t a direct path from the anus to the vagina, there’s a small chance that a female could become pregnant through anal sex. This is because semen can spill near the vaginal opening – which is very close to the anus. If semen comes in close contact with the vagina, there is small chance that one sperm could find its way to an egg.
If you’re having anal sex with a female, you should always use a reliable form of birth control such as condoms. Not only can anal sex lead to pregnancy, it’s risky for the transmission of STDs as well.
