Cooking Thanksgiving dinner is not for the faint of heart. If you’re a novice cook, or are just tired of being the one to cook ten different dishes every year, chances are you’d love the help of an expert in the kitchen. Well, cheer up! This year, you can get Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman herself, to help you out in the kitchen on Thanksgiving, thanks to her new Pioneer Woman frozen food line.
Sure, it’s not quite the same thing as having Drummond come to your house to help with the cooking, but it’s way less expensive than covering her airfare from Oklahoma. The line of delicious frozen foods will be available at grocery stores nationwide this fall, just in time for all of those family gatherings where you’d rather spend your time hiding in the bathroom and checking Twitter than laboring in the kitchen with your racist Aunt Ethel.
If you’re looking for cozy side dishes, the brand has you covered. You’ll be able to pick up Broccoli Cauliflower Casserole, Country Corn Casserole, Fancy Mac and Cheese, Green Bean Casserole, and Sweet Potato and Kale Casserole. No potato mashing-induced carpal tunnel this year!
You’ll also be able to pick up breakfast items like Cowgirl Quiche and Chorizo Egg Bites, and appetizers like Pretzel-Crusted Fried Goat Cheese Bites and Toasted Sausage Ravioli with Marinara. Hands-off entertaining courtesy of The Pioneer Woman has never sounded tastier.
There is one caveat. The portion sizes on these items is a little small for a family get-together (about 2-4 servings each), so you might have to double up on your favorites, and at a price point of about $5.99, that could get pricey.
Then again, time is money. Pop these babies in the microwave or oven and spend the rest of the day watching every Thanksgiving episode of Friends, and I guarantee it’s an investment you won’t regret.
