If you’re even slightly interested in the keto diet, you know the foods that are off-limits: most grains (pasta, rice, you name it), lots of fruits, and even starchy veggies and legumes. But (unfortunately) another Very Important Food is also largely a no-no: ice cream.
But aren’t you allowed to have dairy on keto? Technically, yes—but only low-carb options (think: butter and certain cheeses), since lots of other dairy items have sugar (a.k.a., carbs)…and that rings doubly true for ice cream.
Sad day. That is, until Jenna Jameson came to the rescue with her (super-easy) keto ice cream recipe. Jenna posted about the ice cream on her own Instagram account, as well as her keto account (@ketocantlose).
“Because y’all always ask me what I do when I have a sweet tooth,” she said in an Instagram story on her keto ice cream. “I take heavy whipping cream, a bunch of stevia, and a little bit of vanilla extract, and I shake it up…and freeze it,” she continued.

“And it tastes like ice cream, i’m telling you, zero carbs, and it’s just like eating vanilla ice cream,” she said, adding that “it’s the jam.” Jenna’s daughter daughter Batel even “loves it,” she said in another post.
Apparently, Jenna adapted the recipe from a Delish recipe for mason jar ice cream. Here’s how to make it, according to Delish (again, Jenna replaces the sugar here with stevia, an alternative sweetener):
