It may be dropping the “Donuts” from its name, but rest assured that Dunkin’ is still the go-to place for all your coffee and pastry needs. It’s the second-biggest coffee chain in America after Starbucks in terms of sales and the seventh-largest fast food chain in the country. Worldwide, the chain serves 2 billion cups of coffee every year and 2.9 donuts and donut holes.
Clearly, a stop at a Dunkin’ Donuts is a part of many Americans’ morning routine. If you’re Dunkin’ addict, here are seven of the best ways to save on your favorite coffee-and-donut combo.
1. Sign up for DD Perks

Registering with DD Perks is the easiest way to save at Dunkin’. Members get a free beverage when they sign up and on their birthday. They also get a free drink for every 200 points they earn. You’ll earn 5 points for every $1 you spend. That works out to one free drink for every $40 you spend. That’s a much better deal than at competitor Starbucks, where you have to earn 300 stars – the equivalent of spending $150 – before you even get to Gold status and can start earning one free drink for roughly every $63 you spend.
Once you’re a DD Perks member, look out for special offers that can earn you extra points toward free drinks.
2. Complete survey receipts
Don’t toss your receipt after you get your morning latte. Completing a quick survey will earn you a coupon for a free donut with any medium or large beverage purchase.
3. Get free (or discounted) Dunkin’ gift cards
Sign up for a free Swagbucks account to earn points for online shopping, web searches, and surveys that can be redeemed for free Dunkin’ gift cards. Or, buy discounted Dunkin’ gift cards through site like Raise.com.
4. Check your mailbox
Don’t automatically toss the mailers that the postman leaves in your box. You may be missing out on coupons that will give you discounts on drinks and donuts.
5. Put National Coffee Day and National Donut Day on your calendar

September 29 is National Coffee Day. This year, Dunkin’ is celebrating with a buy one, get one free deal for customers.
Dunkin’ also typically gives away free donuts with the purchase of a beverage to mark National Donut Day, which falls on the first Friday in June.
6. Play Sip. Peel. Win.
Dunkin’s second-annual Sip. Peel. Win. Promotion runs through October 15. Everyone who buys a large or extra-large drink can peel the sticker from their cup for a chance to win free Dunkin’ menu items, free coffee for a year, Dunkin’ discounts, and more.
7. Follow your local Dunkin’ on Twitter
Follow your local Dunkin’ restaurants on Twitter to find out about special deals for customers in your area. For example, Baltimore Dunkin’ locations recently handed out free coffee to celebrate a Ravens win. In Georgia, DD Perks members get a free coffee when the Georgia Bulldogs win.
8. Look for military deals and discounts
As far as we can tell, Dunkin’ doesn’t offer a regular discount to members of the military. But on Veterans Day 2017, the chain did hand out free, no-purchase-required donuts to anyone with a military ID. Since 2006, Dunkin’ has also sent 10 cases of coffee each week to deployed troops.
