Domino’s has gone in an unexpected direction with its latest release, and TBH, I’m not sure how to feel. Although it’s not exactly clear when the product officially launched, evidence of the Hot Dog Pizza—yes, you read that right—first surfaced earlier this month. So…yep. It’s happening.
Domino’s has launched two new limited-edition items: a hot dog–stuffed calzone and a hot dog–topped pizza. For those of you who are just as horrified as, well, me, you can relax. The menu additions aren’t hitting U.S. stores. If you’re down to try the very clearly American-inspired dish, you’ll have to head over to France.
According to Brand Eating, the Cal’Z Hot Dog is filled with mozzarella, sliced hot dog, and yellow mustard. The Hot Dog Pizza is not only topped with the sausage-style meat, but it’s also stuffed in the crust. Oh, did you think we were done? Yeah, no, they didn’t stop there either—Domino’s France also introduced a Burger Pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, beef meatballs, onions, pickles, tomatoes, and a drizzle of burger sauce…whatever that is.
If hot-dog and burger pizzas are your thing, live your truth. Just know I will not be making any Parisian travel plans until it’s gone.
