It’s the first day of October, and that marks the first day of the Halloween season. (Yes, it’s a season, obviously.) Get ready for Halloween decorations, spooky costumes, and sweet treats all month long. And luckily for the grown-ups on Halloween, one chain restaurant has decided to release a drink deal with that will go perfectly with your Halloween month plans.
For October, Applebee’s Neighborhood Drink of the Month will be a Dollar Zombie. The 10-ounce drink is made with a combination of rum, pineapple, passion fruit, cherry, and lime, but the real kicker is the gummy brain that garnishes the top of the cocktail.
“Halloween is a favorite holiday around here, and we’re excited to offer guests the opportunity to celebrate all month long with our new Dollar Zombie,” Patrick Kirk, vice president of beverage innovation at Applebee’s said in a statement. “We invite people to get into the spirit early by trying our Neighborhood Drink with an infectious taste. The only thing to fear this Halloween is missing out on this awesome drink.”
This drink also marks the first time that Applebee’s crowdsourced for their Drink of the Month. The chain asked guests for input on everything, from the flavor to the color of the Zombie.
While the drink should be available in most Applebee’s locations, be sure to reach out to your local restaurant to confirm that they’ll be offering the Dollar Zombie.
And if you can’t make it to Applebee’s this month, keep an eye out for another drink deal in the coming months. The chain has offered picks like $1 margaritas, $1 Bahama Mamas, and $2 vodka lemonades over the past year, and here’s betting they won’t stop anytime soon.
