Almond Biscuits

Ingredients for 14 cookies

For the almond biscuits

  • 200 g almonds, ground
  • 1 TBSP Almonds – for decoration
  • 1 TBSP almonds, whole, unpeeled – for decoration
  • 140 g of Xylitol (a sugar substitute)
  • 40 g of organic corn flour
  • 40 g of organic corn starch
  • 1 TSP baking powder
  • 60 ml of water
  • 1 organic lemon – 1 TBSP juice 1 TSP abrasion
  • 1 Pinch Of Crystal Salt

Preparation

Preparation time about 10 minutes cooking/baking time about 15 minutes

The Xylitol, corn flour, corn starch, baking powder and 1 pinch of salt in a bowl and give stir, then the water, lemon juice, and abrasion, until the mixture clump. Then the almonds, stir; the dough should be viscous.

The dough covered for about 30 Min. cool.

The oven to 190 °C top/bottom heat preheat a baking paper-stocked baking sheet.

The dough from the refrigerator. With the hands of 14 balls, à 25 g shapes on the baking sheet and press flat. At least. 3 cm apart, as the biscuits a little bit of increase during baking. Then the almond slivers and whole almonds and gently press into place.

The sheet in the oven and about 15 Min. bake.

Then the almond biscuits from the oven, let cool and enjoy.
