6 Celebs Who Lost A Ton On Weight Watchers

If “Weight Watchers” conjures up thoughts of bad ’90s commercials and low-cal, bland food, well, then you’re stuck in the wrong decade.

Welcome to 2018, where celebs are more than willing to share their diet secrets—one of which is Weight Watchers (who would’ve thought counting points could be so…enjoyable?). Powerhouse women like Oprah, Tina Fey, and Jessica Simpson have all reaped the benefits of Weight Watchers—whether they used the program to maintain a healthy weight, lose it for medical reasons, or drop pounds, post-baby.

Basically, Weight Watchers relies on a points system (you’re allowed 23 points a day, according to the program’s website) and encourages you to eat more fruits, veggies and lean protein (and fewer sweets and fats). TL;DR: It’s not a gimmicky weight loss plan—and these six celebs totally agree.

The singer and Oscar winner lost 80 pounds on Weight Watchers, which she joined after having her son in 2009.

In fact, she had such success that she spent four years as a brand ambassador. Though she stepped down from the role in 2014, she has nothing but respect for the weight loss program.

“My experience with Weight Watchers has been truly life-changing,” she told People. “I am grateful for what I have learned throughout the process and will always take it with me.”

Jessica became a brand ambassador in 2014 after she lost more than 50 pounds and returned to her pre-baby goal weight.

Jess celebrated by—how else?—rocking a sexy white dress. “First time rocking a white dress this year …but not the last!!Thanks @weightwatchers!,” she wrote on Instagram.

Tina joined Weight Watchers when she was 29, and she credits the program with teaching her how to make healthier food choices–and, you know, helping her lose 30 pounds.

“That’s when I learned how to eat properly for the first time,” she told Women’s Health in 2007. “Before, I used to be one of those people who wouldn’t eat anything all day, then eat a piece of cake at 4 p.m., McDonald’s at 10 p.m., and then go to bed.”

Okay, duh. She’s been gracing the commercials expounding her love for bread for years (same, girl). Plus, she loved the company so much—it did help her lose more than 40 pounds, after all—she bought a large stake in it.

Oprah explained to USA Today exactly why she loves being on their new WW Freestyle program: “Simpler. More livable. Love that I don’t have to count so many of my favorite foods, like corn and beans.”

The former Playmate and now New Year’s Eve host revealed that she got to 211 pounds when pregnant.

As CNN Money points out, Jenny took a turn as a spokesperson for the company, revealing in a video that she slimmed down and “kept it off using portion control, going to supportive meetings, and exercising.”

In 2011, the Once Upon A Time actress revealed that she had been a member of Weight Watchers for years, and was still on the plan, according to People.

“It’s the only thing on the planet that doesn’t dehydrate you or just make you miserable,” she said. “I’ve never had a dramatic weight problem, it’s just that I tend to indulge, and then I need to get back on track so I can button my pants.”
