Whenever we catch wind of an upcoming Pat McGrath Labs launch, it becomes a serious struggle to think or talk about anything else until it drops. This was true in the case of the Mothership palettes, the Skin Fetish collection, and of course, her legendary lip offerings. And now, the same goes for her next big release, too.
As of now we still know very little (McGrath is known for keeping things under wraps until the last minute), but what we've gathered so far is enough to keep us on the edges of our seats for the next week. According to everyone's go-to beauty news source on Instagram, @trendmood1, the brand has a new eye shadow palette in the works. "#SneakPeek ??❤️✨ Who is ready for the Next #EyeshadowPalette by @patmcgrathreal ???" reads the announcement, which came late Thursday night.
The photo itself features what appears to be a mannequin-like, metallic face drenched in gold, silver, and bronze hues, with an oxblood-colored lip and a crown to boot. It's worth pointing out that behind the head, you can see several different shades of pink, which could potentially mean a blush palette is coming. Fans took turns at guessing what the new theme could be in the comments, with some comparing it to an American Horror Story promo and others saying it looks inspired by the Heavenly Bodies theme from this year's Met Gala.

As if this weren't already mysterious enough, Mother herself posted sneak peeks on her Instagram, too, though they're quite different from the one @trendmood teased. The first of two photos McGrath posted is of red lightning striking over a body of water. The caption? A simple, "⚡️⚡️⚡️ #ComingSoon…" The second photo shows a '70s-style space helmet with an image of a striking sunset in its reflection. "CAUTION: COMING SOON ⚡⚡⚡ Edgar Froese: Stuntman – LP, 1979 #inspiraiton," reads the caption.

It's hard to tell exactly what we should expect from this collection, which, to be honest, makes it all the more tantalizing. That being said, you can best bet our fingers are crossed that an eye shadow palette will be included in the lineup. For now, all we can do is wait in anticipation and hope Mother comes through soon.
