How to Crush Your Keto Diet, According to Vinny From 'Jersey Shore'

He calls himself the Keto Guido.

Jersey Shore‘s Vinny Guadagnino has experienced some dramatic changes since embracing the popular keto diet, including losing at least 50 pounds. He’s such a fan of the high-fat, low-carb eating plan, he started an Instagram account, @ketoguido, to document his progress.

Of course, not every guy is as far along in his keto journey. It can be tough to adjust to the plan as you scarf down avocado and wait for the signs of ketosis to show up.

Thankfully, Guadagnino has some madvice for all the keto beginners out there.

On Tuesday, the reality star shared a snap of a super simple Keto meal — a bowl of tuna, organic avocado mayo, and avocado — along with tips for getting started on the diet.

“If you are just beginning #Keto for your weight loss journey and feel overwhelmed…relax…try not to overthink with thoughts like, ‘I can never eat carbs again!?…I’m going to fail!'” he wrote. “For me, taking it one meal at a time has always been a huge factor…your hungry brain could be very tempt[ed] to eat junk food, but your full and satiated brain thinks more rationally.”

Guadagnino added that meal prep is key to his keto success. He believes you should always have your next keto meal or snack mapped out, “so you have a plan and aren’t stuck with big hunger swings…besides, the more fat you eat and fat adapted you become, the more satiated, satisfied, and full you will always feel.”
