Krispy Kreme is celebrating its 82nd anniversary by showering us with presents. Pretty sweet, huh? Starting today, the brand is celebrating this momentous occasion with a dozen Original Glazed donuts for $1.
In case you need any convincing that this is a really, really good deal, I did the math. That’s about eight cents per donut. It would be financially irresponsible not to take part.
“Krispy Kreme fans love to celebrate our birthday. They really make it their own party, which is good with us,” chief marketing officer Dave Skena said in a statement: “We’re continuing our birthday tradition of the $1 dozen deal, which is great. But this year, for the first time ever, we are filling an Original Glazed doughnut with birthday cake batter…and that’s even better.”
Oh right, did I forget to mention they are filling those already beloved glazed donuts with cake batter-flavored creme? Because they are!!! Krispy Kreme took their classic glazed donuts, filled ’em up with b-day cake batter, and doused them with strawberry icing and party sprinkles. They’re available now through July 21.
I think a moment of silence for this pastry perfection is only necessary.
Since the dollar dozen requires another dozen purchase, may I suggest 12 Birthday Cake donuts to go along with your 12 OG glazed? Seems only right.

It also doesn’t look like they’ve got any maximum purchase requirements, so unless I’m missing something, I’ll take an order of 10 dozen.
