Trader Joe’s is always up to something, and by something, we mean releasing brand-new, must-try, on-trend products. Most of these new products quickly become pantry staples in our own respective kitchens. (Everything But the Bagel Seasoning, anyone?) So when it comes to ranking their best products, it can feel downright impossible — but not for Wisconsin-based software company WorkWise, who just released a map of the most searched-for, most popular Trader Joe’s products in each state, and let’s just say there were more than a few surprises.
And some of the results are downright shocking.
Using data they sourced from Google, WorkWise’s infographics reveal that there are 13 Trader Joe’s products with the most searches: Sweet Chili Sauce, Macaron Variés, Everything but the Bagel Seasoning, Key Lime Pie, Spanakopita, Kung Pao Chicken, Vegan Banana Bread, Turkey Meatballs, Unexpected Cheddar, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Danish Kringle, Chocolate Lava Cakes and Bamba Peanut Snacks.
When broken down by region, the West Coast clearly favors Macaron Variés. And those in the Midwest, down south and up in the Northeast region are big on the Sweet Chili Sauce. Everything But the Bagel Seasoning came in as a close third, followed by Key Lime Pie.
Unexpected Cheddar (California), Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (New York), Danish Kringle (Wisconsin), Chocolate Lava Cakes (Minnesota) and Bamba Peanut Snacks (District of Columbia) round out the list. And it’s these items that surprise us the most — and make us want to give them another shot.
