The Rock Is Now Officially an Ice Cream Mogul

Dwayne Johnson is known for his epic “Sunday Cheat Meals,” which ranges from sushi platters to several pints of Salt & Straw ice cream. The actor apparently loves the Oregon-based organization so much that he invested in the brand, according to Fast Company.

To celebrate the partnership, Salt & Straw released a line of “Dwanta Claus” themed flavors, which is a nod to Johnson’s alter ego. According to a post on Johnson’s Instagram account, the flavors dropped today and are only available for purchase online.

The pack includes five pints of some incredible sounding flavors, two of which were developed by Johnson himself: Peppermint Cocoa, Cinnamon Chai Spiced Eggnong, Chocolate Gooey Brownie, and I Saw Mommy Kissing Dwanta Claus. A portion of proceeds from the limited edition pack will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Most of the flavors in the bundle are made with real milk, cream and sugar, which isn’t surprising given Johnson’s love of full-fat ice cream.

Although you may be quick to opt for the diet, plant-based, or protein-packed stuff, there’s nothing wrong with eating just regular ice cream—if you want to.

According to Valerie Goldstein, R.D., founder of Eating to Fuel Health, there’s no reason to shy away from your favorite ice cream. Nutritionally speaking, “healthier” options are not superior to your standard pint. Goldstein recommends consuming fewer than 200 calories and around 20 grams of total sugar per a 1/2 cup-serving.
