Here's What Most Millennials Choose To Do On A Friday Night

Millennials have a reputation for partying, travelling the world, and putting off future responsibilities, but when it comes to Friday nights, it’s quite the opposite.

The Urban List just released the results of their new Food and Drink survey, which asked 6189 millennials across Australia about their eating and drinking habits.

The survey found that the most popular activity for young people on a Friday night was going home and sitting on the couch with a bottle of wine and some takeaway, with 37% of millennials answering that this would be their activity of choice. The second most popular activity (20%) was dinner with their partner and a bottle of wine. So it appears that they much prefer something low key for their Friday night!

That being said, they spend big when they do decide to go out for a night on the town, with the average millennial spending $109 on a typical night out.

Interestingly, the most popular cuisine for millennials was by far Asian cuisine (40%), while the second most popular was Modern Australian or Kiwi (18%). 85% of millennials are also going out at least once a week to eat.

But when they choose what to eat, they are careful to keep it balanced, with nearly all millennials clean eating almost 40% of the time.
