This Easy 4-Day Meal Plan Will Help You Tackle Keto

People drop some serious pounds on the low-carbohydrate keto diet. But the plan, which requires making fat 60 to 80 percent of your total calories, can be difficult to maintain. That means meal prepping is vital, since eating copious amounts of fat takes some strategizing.

Fit Men Cook Star Kevin Curry makes it easy to get started on the keto diet with his four-day meal plan. In a new video, Curry teaches you how to make four easy, high-fat meals that look pretty delicious, too.

The first is a rotisserie chicken soup, which includes cabbage and carrots, the latter of which seems carb-heavy.

“We’re talking about one carrot for an entire serving of soup,” says Curry. “That should be ok.”

And he’s right. A single medium carrot has only six grams of carbs, according to the USDA.

This recipe relies on store-cooked rotisserie chicken, meaning this is an easy weeknight meal.

Next up is a pork and green beans dish, which is heavy on the butter.

At one point, Curry says, “We’re gonna add some more butter to our skillet,” because the ingredient is used in multiple stages of cooking.

For breakfast, Curry whips up bacon, egg, and cheese frittata muffins—a hearty, fat-laden, keto dish that can easily be reheated in the microwave.

Snacking while eating keto can be challenging. Fruit, or other traditional snack foods such as chips, are too high in carbs. Curry makes an easy avocado and hard boiled egg salad that’s low in carbs and easy to eat on-the-go.
