Target Is Launching a New Good-For-You Food Brand

Just in time for back-to-school season, Target has announced that they’re launching a new in-house food brand called Good & Gather. We love the simple, cute, colorful packaging, but what really sets this brand apart from some of Target’s other in-house brands is that all of the products are made without artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, synthetic colors, and high fructose corn syrup.

For those of you who love Archer Farms trail mix or Simply Balanced brand snacks, it might come as a disappointing shock to hear that both of those Target owned brands will be phased out, while Good & Gather will be poised to be Target’s flagship in the food aisles. That being said, they’ll be re-branding some of the most popular products from Archer Farms and Simply Balanced under the Good & Gather name, and while they’re reducing the selection of the Market Pantry line, some old favorites will be available still too. The only difference for these products is that they’ll be reformulated to fit the standards of Good & Gather.

The rollout of the Good & Gather brand begins on September 15th, when 650 new products will hit Target shelves. Then, they’ll introduce more new products over the course of 2020, letting our taste buds and our usual shopping lists get used to the change.

Some of the items we’re most excited about are the packable snack and lunch options. Organic apple berry fruit pouches (they’re not just for kids!), organic probiotic chocolate sea salt granola, uncured ham & cheddar cheese lunch kits (basically Lunchables with a streamlined ingredients list), and a variety of freeze dried fruits for snacking at Target prices, sans the artificial ingredients and HFCS, sound like the perfect way to inject a little excitement into our lunches.

Combine some Good & Gather snacks with Hearth & Hand by Magnolia serving ware and you have the most fantastically ampersand-heavy snack set up that a Target fan could ever dream of.
