Chipotle Is Giving Out Free Burritos This Week

The holidays are expensive, so as my gift to you, I am committed to finding as much free and cheap food that you can score over the month of December as possible. One of the best deals I’ve found so far is the chance to get a delicious Chipotle burrito for absolutely zero dollars as part of the chain’s Holiday Extravaganza.

Chipotle announced the Extravaganza in a very chaotic-looking Instagram post. Graphic design is apparently its social media manager’s passion. Either way, it did a pretty good job of breaking down how this whole thing works.

First, Chipotle will post a code to its Instagram account. If you want to play, you’ll text that code to 888-222…that’s it! The first 500 people to do so get a coupon for a free Chipotle entrée. That means you can get a free burrito, burrito bowl, tacos, whatever! I assume you’ll still have to pay for guac though—sorry, my dudes!

Although 500 people may not seem like a lot, especially given that Chipotle’s Instagram has, like, 600,000 followers, this will go on for five whole days, ending Friday. Plus, each phone number can win only once! I am not good at math, but that’s a whole lot of people getting free Chipotle, so I say give it a try. Pro tip: Turn on post notifications so you can see when they post!

If you do get the coupon for free Chipotle, you have to use it by New Year’s Eve, so shoot your shot, send that text, and be sure to sneak away from your family to enjoy the holiday magic of a free ’rito.
