Beauty Executive Moves: Honest Beauty, Skin Laundry, Rahua

The beauty landscape is an ever-evolving one. Here are three of the latest executive shifts, from Honest Beauty, Skin Laundry and Rahua by Amazon Beauty.
Katie Welch Joins Honest Beauty
Katie Welch, previously chief marketing officer for Hourglass Cosmetics, has joined Jessica Alba's the Honest Co. as general manager of beauty. There, she is in charge of spearheading growth and innovation for the Honest Beauty business. She joins shortly after the business received a $200 million minority investment from private equity firm L Catterton. Shella Abe, partner at True Search, made the placement.
Welch was previously with Hourglass and after the company was acquired by Unilever. Before that, she was executive vice president of global brands at Weber Shandwick, and prior to that, was vice president of integrated marketing communications at Bliss.
Gregg Throgmartin Hired at Skin Laundry
Gregg Throgmartin has joined Skin Laundry, known for its 15-minute laser and light facials, as chairman and chief executive officer. Throgmartin was most recently president and general manager of Fabletics, the activewear company. At Skin Laundry, Throgmartin is tasked with spearheading the company's global expansion, overseeing the opening of six new locations and entrance of the Florida market.
Throgmartin is credited with helping Fabletics scale to reach more than $270 million in sales, which he did by mining data from brick-and-mortar storefronts and using those insights to inform the company's digital strategy. Before Fabletics, he was chief operating officer of HHGregg, an appliance retailer.
Heather Lindgren Appointed GM at Rahua
Heather Lindgren has been appointed general manager at Rahua by Amazon Beauty, a hair-care brand. There she will be in charge of developing new systems across marketing, sales and operations, working with brand founders Fabian Lliguin and Anna Ayers. Previously, Lindgren held senior sales positions at Shiseido Cosmetics with Nars and Clé de Peau Beauté, Laura Mercier and Christian Dior Perfumes.
